Brokehella is a festival and cultural-world concept built around music, community, art, food, public infrastructure and transparent economics. The phrase “In Broke We Trust” is a philosophy: make the room better for people, publish what you can, and build participation into the experience.

Brokehella is a real project and website, but not every part described on the site is built or operating. The State of Brokehella page separates what exists, what is planned, what is a concept and what is not built.

Brokehella is rooted in South Florida and uses Miami as a cultural reference point. Cargo City is a South Florida concept site; no final parcel is represented as selected or permitted.

There is no invented festival date on the site. A date should only be published when the project has actually secured the necessary site, production, permits and operating plan.

It means the project starts from the assumption that people deserve a good experience without being treated as an endless upsell. It also means the project should show its work: money, mistakes, constraints and changes whenever practical.

PLUR stands for Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. Brokehella uses it as a community principle rather than as a costume or a claim that every interaction will be perfect.

It can borrow from all four. The larger idea is a cultural environment: music, art, food, games, learning, design and public space working together instead of being isolated attractions.

The name is intentionally about the tension between limited resources and ambitious culture. “Broke” is not a promise that everything is free; it is a reminder to spend carefully and make value visible.

Not necessarily. Some things are intended to be free, such as water access, while other things can have real costs. The project avoids pretending that labor, equipment, food, power, land or safety infrastructure are free.

Hydration is basic infrastructure, not a premium upgrade. Brokehella treats access to drinking water as a design constraint rather than a product to upsell.

The site does not pretend a final business model already exists. Revenue can come from legitimate event, food, ticketing, sponsorship or program activity, but actual economics should be published when they become real rather than filled with invented numbers.

No permanent ticket price should be inferred from the planning tools. Party Builder is a simulation and planning model, not a live ticket page or professional quote.

No. Food-program risk and difficulty are separate. Risk tells you what kind of experiment you are entering; difficulty represents labor and timing. Charging more because a dish is risky would punish experimentation.

A called-ahead order gives a kitchen better information about how much to buy and prepare. A walk-up service has more uncertainty and can create waste. The difference represents real operating risk, not a penalty for spontaneity.

No. The food program specifically distinguishes water from paid food and service.

Broke DJ is Brokehella’s browser-based music instrument. Play is the starting point, with additional modes for making, remixing, learning and evolving music.

Yes. The current engine performs real analysis including BPM, Camelot key and energy estimation. The intelligence layer reads that existing state rather than pretending to analyze audio it cannot hear.

Transition Coach reads the current deck state and gives the DJ information about tempo, key relationships and pitch-adjusted audible tempo. It recommends; the DJ decides.

Mix Autopsy analyzes a recorded take after the fact. It separates observed measurements from suggestions so an opinion is not presented as a fact.

Set Arc visualizes how energy changes through a DJ set. It is a planning and reflection tool, not a guarantee that a real audience will respond in a particular way.

Crowd Simulator is a simulation of possible crowd-response patterns. It is explicitly not a measurement of a real room or a prediction of human behavior.

Cargo City Live is a Broke DJ visual concept in which music influences a virtual Cargo City. Low end, energy and transitions can affect districts, lights and movement. It is a digital representation, not the real Cargo City site.

No. The intelligence bridge is read-only by design. The machine notices; the DJ decides.

Yes. Play is the default entry point. Advanced analysis and experimental features can be explored later rather than being required before making a sound.

The food program is built around “YOU BRING IT. WE COOK IT.” A person can bring an ingredient, spice, recipe, technique, family tradition or story; the program can provide kitchen, cooks, equipment, food-safety infrastructure, plating and service when the program is operating.

No. People still pay for food when food is being sold. The cultural contribution and the operating cost are separate ideas.

The program is designed to make safer, more useful contributions possible without requiring people to carry finished food into a working kitchen. A recipe, spice, ingredient or story can be the contribution instead.

Food safety comes before experimentation. Ingredients and allergens need to be identifiable, traceable and handled according to the actual kitchen’s food-safety requirements. If a contribution cannot be made safely, it should be declined.

No. Risk and difficulty are separate axes. Difficulty represents work; risk is a description of the experiment.

Safe Bet, Experiment, Wild and Chaos describe the character of an idea. They are not price tiers and are not permission to ignore food-safety rules.

Cargo City is a modular cultural-city concept for South Florida: music, food, art, gathering, production, recovery and public space arranged as an adaptable campus.

Not yet. It is a design and planning concept. The site is not represented as a selected, permitted or built parcel.

The design is framed around South Florida. The current site research discusses candidate industrial areas, but a candidate area is not the same thing as a selected parcel.

The drawing set uses planning targets such as an estimated 20 to 30 acre site area and a peak planning capacity of 30,000 people. Those are design targets, not a permit or an operating guarantee.

Containers provide a modular construction language and can support a system that changes over time. They are not automatically suitable for every room; climate, structure, fire/life safety, accessibility and engineering still govern what can actually be built.

The current design uses nine primary districts plus seven support zones, for sixteen operating zones. The nine primary districts are the main drawing-set framework.

No. It is an indicative concept drawing, not a surveyed parcel or construction document.

No claim of permits should be inferred. Permitting would depend on an actual parcel, jurisdiction, design and professional review.

The Neighbors are 34 creative archetypes used as a field-guide language for the world of Brokehella. They draw from mythology, nature, psychedelic experience and future imagination without claiming that the characters are objectively real beings.

The current canonical field guide contains 34 distinct plates. The number is a property of the current canon, not a claim that the list is complete in any universal sense.

Yes. The Neighbors page is the complete field guide. The homepage is intentionally a doorway with a smaller featured selection.

The homepage is an introduction, not the whole field guide. It should point people toward all 34 without making the homepage itself an endless catalog.

The current canonical build uses duplicate-detection checks based on perceptual structure and image differences so two canonical Neighbors cannot quietly share the same plate.

It is a concept for a mobile cultural venue: a double-decker where the ride itself is part of the event, with music, games and gathering space.

No. It is explicitly a concept vehicle and is not currently offered for sale or operation.

The concept is easier to understand visually: the poster shows the intended vehicle language, deck layout, games and road/park modes. It is concept art, not a certified vehicle specification.

No. There is no live booking offer. Any future operation would require engineering, vehicle certification, accessibility review, insurance, permits and other applicable requirements.

The concept deliberately separates road mode from park mode. Features that create an unsafe moving-vehicle environment are intended to be secured or disabled while the vehicle is moving.

The People page records people whose work is publicly documented and connected to the cultural lineage Brokehella studies: organisers, DJs, producers, writers, designers and others. The page is not intended as an endorsement list.

Yes, where there is a useful, checkable story to tell. The planned People index can include house DJs, producers, vocalists, chefs, production designers, lighting and AV teams and festival builders.

Not as an absolute truth. Rankings can be useful as sources or snapshots, but the site should explain what someone or something is worth studying rather than pretending “best” is an objective fact.

Important festival ecosystems exist across many countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Romania, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa and Japan. The site should explain what each scene contributes rather than reduce a country to a ranking.

A festival is not only a lineup. Audio, lighting, video, rigging, staging, scenic design, power, crowd movement, accessibility and safety determine what the audience actually experiences.

Yes. Images should be sourced responsibly and attributed where required. An unlicensed image is not worth the SEO benefit.

Safety has to be designed and operated, not promised by a slogan. The site describes targets and principles, while actual events would need venue-specific plans, professional review, trained staff and emergency procedures.

Because the project would rather distinguish a drawing from a building, a simulation from a real event and a target from an achieved result. That distinction is part of the trust model.

Yes. The project explicitly invites corrections where a claim can be checked. The People page, for example, asks nominators to provide a source before an entry is added.

You can explore the site, vote, pledge, nominate people, study the tools, contribute ideas, join updates and eventually participate in programs or events when they are actually operating.

Yes. The nomination form asks for the person, what they did and something the site can check. A nomination is not an automatic publication.

The project has creative and participation surfaces for future contributions. The exact route depends on the program, and submitting something should never be interpreted as a promise of publication or payment unless the relevant program says so.

Not as a hidden requirement for participation. Any future account or membership feature should be described openly with its purpose and economics.

The core concept does not require NFTs or cryptocurrency. The project’s identity is about culture, infrastructure and transparent economics, not forcing a particular financial technology into the experience.
