Hella Broke.
You’re broke. That’s the point. The game is not about avoiding being broke. It’s about being broke together.
Make your dream. You need cash, you need to hold yourself together, and you need people: three times you helped somebody, three times somebody helped you. Both. Every time. Nobody wins alone.
Who are you tonight
How many at the table
How it works
- Roll and move. Sixteen spaces round Miami. Pass the Parking Lot and it’s rent day: you pay your home neighbourhood’s rent.
- Where you land happens to you. Life cards just happen. Hustle, Give and Too Good To Be True are offers: take it or pass. Half of what looks like a scam is one.
- Then do one thing. Work a shift, help somebody, ask somebody for help, call your family, or rest.
- Given and received never go down. They are not spent. They are who you are.
- Resilience runs out. At zero you are in survival mode. You don’t lose. You still play, still help, still get helped. Your dream costs twice the cash, and the only way out is three people helping you.
- The Bus moves every five rounds. Land where it is parked and it stops for you: ride anywhere, and the ride is a rest.
- Your family is always on the board. Calling is always worth something. Going quiet too long costs you.
- The Card. Nobody explains it. Play it and say what it is. The table votes. If they agree, it becomes that.
- Win by having everything your dream needs at the end of your own turn, before last call at round thirty.
Your game stays on your device. It saves in this browser so a closed tab can pick up where it stopped. No account, no leaderboard, nothing sent anywhere. The other players are a few rules written into this page, not an AI service. Nothing on this site talks to one.
A seed is a game. At the end you can copy a link that replays the same dice and the same deck, so two people can play the same night and compare who they asked.
The characters are the Miami eight from In The Yams, wanting what they want in the comic. Their numbers are game balance, tested over a thousand simulated games, not a claim about anybody. A version for a real table is an idea, not a product: nothing here is for sale.
