The Care Steward
Guards fairness and PLUR, not power. Protects the people, not the system.
All around Brokehella you will find characters, creatures and moments that turn into memories. None of it is on the schedule. You just have to be there.
Some nights the room stops being just a room. The music turns physical. Colours get louder. A hallway you have walked a hundred times feels like somewhere you have never been. Strangers feel familiar, and something in the pattern of the lights looks like it is paying attention back.
People have been describing this for as long as there have been people. They reach for the same handful of images almost every time: tall quiet figures standing just out of focus, something made of light and geometry, a face that is somehow your own, something enormous and old that is not unkind. Different nights, different lives, different centuries, and the descriptions keep rhyming.
You do not need to have been there to be here. If you have, you already know which part of this is hard to put into words. If you have not, nothing is missing from you and there is no door you need to walk through to belong. Plenty of the best nights of your life will be entirely ordinary, and this is a place for those too.
This is a description of an experience people report, not a claim about what is really out there, and not an instruction. Nothing here is telling you to take anything to go and look. We are not going to tell you what you saw, or that you have to see anything at all to be one of us. If a night ever gets heavier than you wanted, the Still Room is open and it does not ask you a single question on the way in.
Six things on the ground, not four — and they stay places, not characters. None of it is on the schedule. You just have to be there. Below them is the mythology: the deeper, stranger layer these places are only the doorway to.

Guards fairness and PLUR, not power. Protects the people, not the system.

Light in the maze. Hospitality and safety, carried by hand.

Kept open for the one who is not here yet. A seat at the table.

Chaos and humour. Truth with a grin, and the humility to take it.

Calm, care, water first. The way back when a night gets too loud.

Silly, strange, surreal. The corners of the dream nobody planned.
The only rule: be kind, be open, be present. Everyone is here for the same reason. Music, love, and each other.
None of the above is a schedule and none of it is a guarantee. These are things that happen at Brokehella, not things you can book. Turning them into a timetable would be the fastest way to kill every one of them.
The Jesters show up twice on this page — here, and again at Neighbor 06 in the record below. Same spirit, two different lenses: a place stays a place, a Neighbor stays a myth, and this is the one spot the two happen to be the same thing.
Thirty-four of them. Where the six places above are things you can actually run into, these are the mythic lens you might feel while you're there — never scheduled, never required. They live in the music. They live in the people. They live in the moments between heartbeats. None of this is a claim about anything real, and none of it is a substance instruction — it is a shared vocabulary for what a good night can feel like.
Real footage, shot by us, nothing simulated. Tap any of them to play with sound off; they are short on purpose.
Compressed for phones on cellular data. The masters are 4K and roughly three hundred times this size, which is a lovely thing to own and a hostile thing to send anybody.
It would be easy to type a living artist's name into an image generator and copy their look. We do not do that. For one, you end up with a copy instead of an identity. For another, it is not fair. That style is how they eat. If we ever want that exact touch, we hire the artist. We do not paste their name into a prompt.
High-relief, engraved, like it was pressed into copper rather than drawn on a screen. Always aged. Nothing here stays shiny.
A tiny penny, a hidden "IN BROKE WE TRUST," a Jester in the corner. Easter eggs, not clutter.
Copper, patina, void, amber, verdigris, the same six stops that age the whole site as you scroll.
They live in the music. They live in the people. They live in the moments between heartbeats.
