Terms of Service

The rules of the neighborhood. Read them, because "everyone else did it" has never once worked as a defense.

Read this note first

This is a good-faith draft matched to how Brokehella works today, not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. Especially before any feature here processes payments, health data, or government ID.

In plain words
  • Be decent to people here. That is most of it.
  • What you make stays yours. You just let us show it.
  • Do not post other people's work as your own.
  • The Learn, Grants and Civic pages teach. They do not advise you.
  • The Terminal is practice money. It is never real trading.
  • We can close an account that hurts other people.
  • Break the rules badly enough and you are out.

This list is a summary, not the agreement. The full terms below are what actually bind you and us. If the two ever disagree, the terms win.

Acceptance Acceptable use User content Educational tools & disclaimers Intellectual property Liability Security disclosure Copyright / DMCA Governing law

Acceptance

By using brokehella.com. Including the DJ studio, the Paper Terminal, the Party Builder, or any resource page. You agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the door is right there and there's no hard feelings.

Acceptable use

You will not, on or through Brokehella:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against anyone
  • Submit false, defamatory, or fabricated reports through the complaint or submission tools
  • Attempt to access another user's data, bypass rate limits, or probe for vulnerabilities outside the good-faith process in Security Disclosure
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to flood forms, fake votes, or fake submissions
  • Impersonate Brokehella staff, another user, or a public official
  • Upload malware, illegal content, or anything that infringes someone else's rights
  • Use the platform to sell, market, or solicit outside the Community Network's stated purpose

Violating this can get your access to community features (voting, the Network, submissions) revoked. PLUR is the whole point. We take that seriously.

User-submitted content

Anything you submit through a form (a complaint, a Network profile, a Pipeline signup) you are representing as true and as your own to share. You keep ownership of it. You grant Brokehella a license to use it for the purpose it was submitted for (e.g., publishing a complaint's resolution, listing your Network profile). We do not sell user content and we will remove it on request unless it's part of the public accountability record (see The Receipts), in which case we'll mark it withdrawn rather than silently erase history.

Educational tools & disclaimers

Nothing on Brokehella is professional advice. The Standard grader, Party Builder, Paper Terminal, Learn hub, Civic Center, and every resource page are educational tools built to help you understand a system, not personalized financial, legal, medical, tax, or investment advice. Laws and eligibility rules vary by state and change over time, always verify against the official source before you act. Consult a licensed professional for anything with real money, health, or legal consequences on the line.
  • Paper Terminal 100% simulated. No real money, brokerage, or exchange account is ever connected. Not investment advice. Past performance guarantees nothing.
  • Learn / grants / tax content: general education. We link to official sources; verify amounts, deadlines, and eligibility there before applying.
  • Civic Center: links to and explains third-party civic data tools (Vote Smart, Ballotpedia, OpenSecrets, ProPublica, GovTrack). Brokehella does not independently verify their data and is not responsible for its accuracy.
  • Party Builder a planning estimate, not a permit, contract, or professional cost quote.

Intellectual property

The Brokehella name, coin logo, Standard™, and original site content belong to Brokehella. The DJ Studio and Paper Terminal tools are used under whatever license their respective authors granted. Open-source components (Tone.js, React) remain under their own licenses.

Limitation of liability

Brokehella is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Brokehella is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on any educational content here. Nothing in this section limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Security disclosure policy

Found a vulnerability? Email info@brokehella.com with the subject "Security disclosure," what you found, and how to reproduce it. We will acknowledge within 72 hours. Good-faith security research. Testing without accessing, modifying, or exfiltrating real user data beyond what's needed to demonstrate the issue. Will never be treated as an attack. Please give us a reasonable window to fix an issue before public disclosure. See also /.well-known/security.txt.

Copyright / DMCA

If you believe content on Brokehella infringes your copyright, email info@brokehella.com with the material, its location on the site, and a good-faith statement of ownership. We will investigate and remove infringing content promptly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without limiting any consumer protection rights you have under your own local law.
